Gio Urshela, Mike Tauchman, and Cameron Maybin propelled the Yanks to another easy victory — their 9th in a row — this time over Toronto in Toronto, 12-6. You turned around and the Yanks had an 8-0 lead in the 3rd inning. It was like that. And it’s been like that.
Gio Urshela hit a 2-run homer in the top of the 1st. He hit another 2-run homer in the 3rd for a 5-0 lead. Mike Tauchman hit a 2-run homer later in the inning to make it 8-0. In between, Cameron Maybin drove in a run with a single. Maybin (batting .335) and Urshela (batting .323) both went 3 for 5; Tauchman (batting .287) went 2 for 5. All of their defense has been phenomenal as well.
After the game, Maybin tweeted “Me, Gio, & Tauch… Name a better trio, I’ll wait”

Domingo German was pitching pretty well into the 5th up 8-0 but then got hit hard — a homer, double, homer, error (by Maybin), and single made it 8-4. But German got tough — getting 3 of the next 4 guys out (a popup and two groundouts), leaving runners on 2nd and 3rd.
Chad Green pitched an inning allowing a run. And then Luis Cessa came in to settle Toronto down with 3 innings of 1 run ball.
DJ LeMahieu singled in 2 runs in the 6th to put the Yanks back safely on top, 10-4.
