Domingo German is searching for his glass slippers. After a scintillating start to the season, he’s been iffy the last few starts — allowing the home run ball that he allowed a lot of last season — typically in the 4th or 5th inning. This game was no exception, as German was knocked out in the 4th — coughing up a 3-1 lead by allowing a home run to Xander Bogaerts followed by a single (Brock Holt), walk (Michael Chavis) and game-tying RBI single to Sandy Leon.
But Gary Sanchez took Rick Porcello DEEP in the 5th to regain the lead for the Yanks, 5-3 and the Yankee bullpen took it from there.
