This one ended after 3am in the morning, NYC time.
- Gio Urshela was the Hero — not only can he PICK IT at 3rd base, but he won the game twice with his bat — once in the 12th on a sac fly to plate Clint Frazier who had led off with a double, but when Aroldis Chapman couldn’t hold that lead, Gio won it again in the 14th with a single to plate Gleyber Torres.
- Clint Frazier sprained his ankle, but played through it and got that double in the 12th, and swore he would play Tuesday.
- Jonathan Holder held them (shutout ball for the 13th and 14th) and
- J.A. Happ, after allowing a 2-run homer in the 2nd, pitched 7 strong innings (only 2 runs) and afterwards said “that was a fun win.”

I fell asleep at 11:30 and didn’t watch much of this, but kept getting awoken by @NYSportsChick (daughter) and the wife talking about the game — with @NYSportsChick exclaiming Clint Frazier this and Gio Urshela that — she really should have done this writeup.

In the Waking Hours
Luke Voit hit a homerun in the 1st to put the Yanks on the board, and Gleyber Torres hit a sac fly in the 3rd to tie the game. Matt Harvey pitched 6 strong innings. GOOD FOR HIM. Rooting for Matt.

For the Yankees, most of the pitchers lowered their ERA. Adam Ottavino 2 shutout innings, Tommy Kahnle 1 shutout inning, and Luis Cessa 1 shutout inning.

Post Game
After the game the Yankees optioned Joe Harvey to AAA and brought up Jonathan Loaisiga. Harvey had been pitching well so this seems to be a roster maneuver thing.
